I know I start this B4 but it desapere...so thanks to the new board it will be seen for a couple days www.jctremblay.com/english.htmlJean-Claude Tremblay, an allstar defenceman who left his mark while playing for the Montreal Canadians from the 1959-1960 through to 1971-1972 seasons, gained fame as one of the Canadian's key leaders when that team won the Stanley Cup five times between 1960 and 1972. His talent as a defenceman also afforded him the opportunity to play seven times in All Star games. In addition to his skill as a stickhandler, a talent which won him the title of "Magician on the blue line", Jean-Claude Tremblay's ability to readily pass the puck was unrivalled. As creative as he was a perfectionist, he brought a new dimension to the role of defenceman. His intelligent style of hockey, his uncanny ability to outplay his opponents, his innate sense of hockey and his extraordinary vision of the game were all traits that made him one of the greatest defencemen of his time. For these reasons, we firmly believe that Jean-Claude Tremblay is one the game's great players who has shaped hockey history and wish that the Shrine open up its doors to him, thus granting the wish of fans, the media and all those who played with Jean-Claude on the ice.

I still remember some of his stick handling. For those of you who are to young (who isn't younger then me?) to remember him play, he use to stick handle like nothing you see today.....well, okay....imagine Ribs as a defenceman. He would draw an opposing forward toward him and then stick handle the pack through his legs. He did this all the time...WITHOUT anyone behind him....he was that GOOD. If my cranky 286/25 brain memories serve me (still), one time, in a crucial game he did this and he was stripped of the puck, so what does he do....throw his stick at the guy. His shot could not go through Mexican gas, but his vision was amazing. Here are his stats. Notice the assists. Also notice his size. Yup, he deserves the recognition and the Hall of Fame!
