from TSN: The Dallas Stars, who are off to a slow start this season, acquired veteran defenceman Jon Klemm from the Chicago Blackhawks on Monday. The Stars also received a fourth-round draft pick in 2004 in exchange for 26-year-old defenceman Stephane Robidas and a second-round pick in 2004. R.

Chicago wins IMO. They dump 2.5 million in salary, get a second rounder and acquire a serviceable defenseman. Klemm may be a good fit for Dallas but I think they overpaid.

Dallas needed to do something. Their defense is really lacking right now, and Klemm I think is a crash-and-bang defenseman who could help their cause. They're really messed up down there right now.

Good trade for Dallas. Losing Hatcher hurt them on and off the ice. Is Chicago looking to the future already? If so then yes, this was a good trade for both teams. Perhaps people will realize just how important Thibault is to the Black Hawks
