Dogs vs River Rats. Hossa is playing on the 2nd line with Plekanec and Chow. I didn't expect him to be in the lineup since he was called up. But a snow storm has kept him in the lineup for now.
0-0 going into the 2nd. Gratton did an interview. Talked about the all stars. Not much else.

1-0 Dogs. Michael Ryder gets his 9th unassisted. Garon holding the fort, as he has 6 saves so far. It's all dogs.

Plakenac and Hossa have a similar game. They play well together. If only we could inject them with some edginess (is that a word?)..........................

Ward plays a different game. He is more of a grinder then a high speed inesse guy. That is why Gratton adn Ward are naturals for each other and the same for Plek-Hossa. I love the way Plek-Hossa go full out when they get the puck but I am afraid that poor Ward will need a rocket up his butt to catch up. It also makes sense that they put Chairplutski with them. Could you imagine if you are twenty years old a nd you see a multimillionaire besides you, pluckiing chickens? Sheesh................

But couldn't Ward bring that ''edginess'' to the that line?

Best part of the whole game? Komisarek got a 5 minute fighting major in the 1st, against Dave Roche. Yes. Time for Mikey to start developing that intimidation factor, now that he's acclimated to the speed etc. Then....trade good ole Rivet or Quintal, or anyone but Hainsey and Markov and bring up Mean Mike. Suddenly we have 3 real defensemen and can look ahead.
