I was reading some things on Team Russia. They played a game today for pratice, and Perezhogin was on the 1st line playing LW. (the true 1st line did not play) But it looks as though Perezhogin will be on the 2nd line in the tournament. His coach said that Perezhogin and 2 others (Tytin, Gigroenko sp? wings prospect) would be the team leaders since they have won on the U-18 and last years WJC team. Perezhogin played on a line with young star Ovchenkin, but I don't know if that will be a real line or not.
Konstantin Korneev played on the 2nd pairing (of 4) in the game, but again the top pairing did not play. So Korneev should play for Team Russia this year, hopefully. They went with 5 man rotations and Korneev's line of forwards got both goalis in a 2-1 victory.
What sucks is that the leafs have 10 guys at the WJC's and we will have 3 most likely.

bah, we all know the Habs have a much better farm system than the Leafs.
So Perez was playing with Ovechkin...man that would be an interesting line to watch!
BTW, I think it's Grigorenko

Well for anyone that is going to watch the WJC's, and wants to know the jersey numbers (if they don't have names on the back) it looks like Perezhogin will be #26, and Korneev will be #3. The roster should be official, but they have been known to make late changes.
Don't know what number Higgins is.
Also I read a post on HF from someone says they were talking with Trevor Dailey, (who was cut) and he was saying it was all politics, and they knew who was going to get cut before camp even started. He said he thought that Milroy was a lock for the team, and I think Locke as well.
Then I heard Don Cherry saying kinda the same thing, that they know who they are going to take before camp, and that Canada must be really good, cause of the guys they cut were so good. He also said to the guys that were cut to go out and show them they made a mistake. I really hope Milroy does that, cause he's playing for a contract.

Alex Perezhogin picked up a goal in a warm up game for Team Russia. It was a 3-3 tie.

Doh! Canada does NOT play the Russians or the Americans in the round robin...I wonder if TSN will broadcast games of the other nations? Maybe we will meet them in the gold medal game

Not Team Russia, but not worth a new thread. Today Chris Higgins got a goal in an exhibation game. Team USA beat Team Sweden 6-2, I think. Higgins got the 1st goal of the game.
