I know there has been many talk about Iginla but i would propose something different:
Zednik for Conroy
Calgary dosen't have a legit second line right winger after Iginla and they could put Zednik on left wing while on the first powerplay unit
Reinprecht replaced conroy on the first line and they have Yelle as a defensive specialist. They can afford to trade Conroy for a scoring winger.
For Montreal: Conroy is a Selke winner, he's the center with size we lack in our system, the ideal second line center to go with Koivu on the first line, Conroy would be the one covering the best center of the other team.
Don't forget he put 73 points two years ago (with Iginla of course) so he's not too shabby offensively.
I think Zednik has value but he won't ever improve on last year's 32 goal production, the time to trade him is now.
By the way, the two are struggling right now...very convenient...
That would leave us with Ribeiro as the odd man out...
What do you think? Cheers

If I'm not mistaken Conroy is a UFA at the end of this season. Zednik is our best goal scorer, which is where our major problem is, I don't think getting another "defensive specialist" is what we need. We need to add scoring not trade it away.

If conroy is UFA that change everything
If not: I agree we need scoring. but i don't think Zed will produce 30 some goals again, add to that if Julien continue to play him on right wing, he's useless.
the other teams can predict too easily what he'll do, he has no imagination.
you have to give to get

Conroy is a UFA
Having said that Conroy would have looked great in Montreal over the last 5 years!
