Here's the update guys. www.theahl.com/SlamScoreboard/ahl-frameset.htmlI first saw it on Habfans, but I had to get to SLAM! in order to believe it. This doesn't happen all the time I reckon. I'll move it over to the Prospects board after, but have a look just the same. Cheers.

Wow, that's crazy... It's not cool to embarrass the other team like that, I think 15 goals might have been just a bit much. And how about the Cleveland coach not ever pulling poor Vesa Toskala? Ouch.

Toskala isn't a bad goalie, to add to the credit due to our prospects, he was very decent in the NHL during Nabokov's holdout.

Patrick Roy also isn't a bad goalie, and we all remember the result of leaving him in past the point of embarrassment against Detroit 7 years ago. It was obviously a convincing win, and I'm happy for our guys, but I still think it's a little disrespectful to run up the score like that.

It was ugly.
In fact, it was so bad that I can not really judge our prospects from this lobsided affair. Their goaltenders where pathetic and then they opened up to a "Euro" game. With the Bulldogs firepower, it became a shooting gallary. For a minute there, I had to go behind the Cleveland bench and make sure thart Therrien was not coaching.
More to come later.

The inital stats sheet I saw showed Toskala in net for all 15 goals, but mercifully it appears that was wrong. The write-up on the game indicated that he was replaced after 7 goals, and the back-up let in the other 8.
Julien also says they never want to embarrass another team, but, "It just seemed like everything we shot went in". That's one heck of a team they've got there in Hamilton. I bet they'd probably pull out a few wins against an NHL franchise or two if they were given the chance.

I'll second that...WOW! Interesting that the scoring also appeared to be so spread out...you would think at least one guy would get a hatrick in a 15-1 game!
