Fichaud is in nets. Ryder just got hammered. Ribeiro, Hainsey, and Garon will be with the dogs on Sunday in Philly against the Phantoms.

Bulldogs get on the board already. 1-0 Ward 4(Pisani, Gratton)
On a side note, but about our prospects, at russianprospects.com theres some info about Tarasov and Korneev. Tarasov they said is getting better regaining his confidence and picked up a win. Korneev has been moved up to the top pairing and is playing well. He is tied for top scoring among defencemen on his team. (3pts) and he's our youngest prospect.

Pens tied it 1-1. We are outshooting them 14-5 but they got a lucky bounce and ended up with a 2-1 break.
Komisarek just a 2 mins for hooking while they were on the PP.

Korneev...our next Markov? ;D Keep the updates coming..I'm scouting the Kings on TV so I'm not listening to the Dogs game I asked the editors of russianinsider, the same thing, if Korneev could be the next Markov, more out of trying to figure out what kind of game he plays. They said there' no comparison, as Markov was the top defencemen in the league and maybe the MVP. But my reply to them was that he's still young, and could develop over the next 3-4 years (he would then be 21-22) Right now the knock on him is that he's 5'11 176 and they said he's not very good in his own end, but I question that to a degree, since he's playing in the top league in Russia, and has been moved UP to the top pairing, and with 3pts on the season, all assits, it doesn't sound like his offence that had him moved up. I assume its cause of injuries, but it has to be great experience for him to be playing on the top pairing in the top league. Right now he's currenlty playing in the U-20's, and I think Russian won today 6-5 in ot. Perezhogin and Tarasov are playing for the Russian Senior National Team and I think they lost today to Finland 5-0. Its hard to get updates, I got those at HF.

Is Korneev going to be on their WJC team?
Will Perezhogin be on it this year?
I'd like to see both of them when they come the WJC circus comes to Halifax X-mas time.
I guess Higgins will be on team USA? Milroy maybe on Team Canada?

Bulldogs get one 2-1 in the 2nd. Stoll (Beauchemin, oilers prospect forget who)
Semenov just got 2 mins. The dogs have hit the post 3 maybe 4 times alreayd. They seem to be taking to the pens, but just can't finish.

I guess Higgins will be on team USA? Milroy maybe on Team Canada? Well I don't know, but last years WJC's Korneev was one of their leading scorers, so I expect he would be on the team this year. (although last year he had to move up to forward due to injuries) Perezhogin I would bet he makes it again, as last year he did't do anything, but thats cause he had a serious knee injury. (Savard was pissed that the Russians would let him play injured like that, so I read) Higgins should be on their with out a doubt, as he was the teams leading scorer last WJC. Milroy was invited to camp, and I would expect him to make it. He's one of the top scorers in the WHL right now, but we see soon enough. Michaud is another one that could make it, but from what I read he didn't have a good WJC camp over the summer, and also has had a ruff start to the season. He was a backup last year in the WJC's.

"He shoots, he scores his first goal as a pro" Mike Komisarek gets his first goal as a pro and its 3-1. Komisarek 1 PP (Stoll, Reasoner) Balej is injured too. don't know whats up with him. He did get up, they said, I think he was hit into the boards from behind.

yeah Mich could be our starting goalie
Korneev played forward? I didn't remember that...probably because I had no idea who he was before we drafted him
How are our prospects playing tonight?
I'm getting concerned with Hossa and Balej.

Dogs on a roll. 4-1 now. Hossa 3 (Bouillon, Rita) and they have hit 5 posts now. Pens are getting shelled. Hossa's was a redirection, and the announcers said it was a very good redirection. Komisarek's was a "blast" (there words) from the point.

Michaud, out of all the guys (Milroy, Michaud, Korneev, Perezhogin, Higgins) is the one that I don't think will make it. I know that he was the backup last year, but until recently he has been very bad. He stats are ugly, but he has turned it around some, so maybe he will make it. It's hard to say how they are doing, it sounds like just about everyone is having a good game. Haven't heard much from Plekanec tonight or Ryder though.

good to hear about Hoss.. who are the WJC goalies for Canada? Its not decided yet, to my knowledge. Michaud was 1 of 4 goalies at the WJC camp over the summer, so 2 of those 4 should go, unless another goalie plays great.

Komisarek gets an elbow in the face, then drops the gloves and gives the pens player a "licken" (there words).
And Balej is back, so I guess he is ok.
As I type his Balej just scored. 5-1 bulldogs. Balej 2 (unassited) announcers said he made a real good move then roofed it.

Its a finally 6-1. Michael Ryder gets the 6th. 40 shots on net for the dogs and 5 posts, yea it was a romp. The announcers called Ryder's goal a beauty, a good move then he roofed it on Tallas (poor guy).

Nice 2 points for Hossa. Hopefully he gets it going to AS can clear some dead wood up front. Plus Hossa was a +3 on the night. A good night for Michael Ryder as well. I think he's played in only 2 games, not sure, but he's scored in both of them. He also had 6 shots on goal tonight, and it sounded like he was all over the place. Balej and Plekanec were on the ice for a couple of goals, but Ward and Gratton (the 1st line) didn't seem to have thier best game (besides Ward's goal at the start of the game, they didn't do much after that). Fichuad wasn't tested much, but still played well (i dont think he's lost a game yet, but the announcers said they did't think he would be playing for a while).

The 3 stars of the game were
1. Stoll 2. Fichaud 3. Ward
Spark plug of the game, Mike Komisarek
Taken from the bulldogs website. They play the phantoms Sunday at 6:00, and Hainsey, Ribs and Garon will be there. Should be cool to hear so many good prospects in one game. The dogs are back in first (i think).
