This is a very good article. It's interesting that none of the war-mongers on this site have bothered to respond to it. They devote pages and pages to repeating themselves over and over while largely ignoring important issues.

What's to talk about? Nobody here is trying to turn Saddam into a demon. He's been a demon for already 20+ years. Do you deny this?
With respect to the quote that "Dominant powers have often demonised their enemies and claimed to be acting on behalf of the oppressed," my opinion is that this is a very ridiculous and misleading statement. Even the puniest power demonises its enemy...
