A most excellent site. The linked article can be considered an addendum to HA's argument in this forum.

Added tidbit on Iraq - didn't know where to put this, but wanted it somewhere on here. Cost of war is about 75 billion US. www.lemonde.fr/article/0,5987,3462--314161-,00.html

Carnegie Endowment for International Peace.
I am sure that they have a very neutral point of view. *said with a truck of sarcasm*
Some interesting tidbits hidden amongst the "America is going the wrong way" articles. The purported Likud conection is news to me but then again, it may not even be true or worse, writen by extremist. (I guess I missed the memo).
It does confirm what I was writing about in a couple of posts but they are slanting the articles.
Example:
In the new document, he outlined plans for military intervention in Iraq as an action necessary to assure "access to vital raw material, primarily Persian Gulf oil" and to prevent the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction and threats from terrorism.
Make it look like it is about oil but with a "direct" quote and add the WMD and terrorism "icing" on the statement. In fact, if memory serves me right, that statement was part of larger statement of the effects what Muslim radicalism can do to the world economy by cutting off "access to vital raw material, primarily Persian Gulf oil" in that region. Taken in isolation, it means a completely different thing.
Everything has to be sifted and resifted.......

But everything is slanted HA. Heck, the Earth's axis is tilted. Just the way things are. We're all a few degrees off centre.
