Here's only one incident; www.ctv.ca/servlet/ArticleNews/story/CTVNews/1049510976605_68///?hub=TopStoriesLeaving her boarder crossing out, it's yet again, only a few who spoil it for the rest. I also read earlier this week that a car with Canadian plates was refused gas in Florida. Also, there was a sign on a restaraunt door that read, "... no shirts, no shoes, no Canadians ..." I heard that one on the radio but haven't been able to find it. I'll keep looking if for no other reason than to substantiate the accusation. In France, a Canadian War Cemetary was desicrated with anti-American graffiti. Sources say that it was just a case of mistaken identity, but no doubt the actions were that of a very few at best. Maybe teenagers testing the news I don't know really. War brings out the worst in people everywhere. Sad, but true. Cheers.

Dis, an isolated incident does not bother me as there will be fools on either side. What bothers me is the festering anger that Americans are starting to have against Canadians. Chretien is doing nothing but playing politics with the situation. He has never explained his position to the Americans and had turned a blind eye to all the anit-American rhetoric spouted by his fellow morons, err, politicians. Worse still, instead of leading the country, he has chosen to follow the poles. All this is because Bush snubbed his boy scout plan and now he feels snubbed and is going to teach Bush a lesson. I just hope the Americans don’t teach us a lesson by shutting down 87% of our trade. Yup, that’s right 87%. Further to this, Canada loses the high ground in trade negotiations. We are and always will be at a disadvantage with the giant and it will be in no mood to deal fairly with an unsupportive “friend”. Needless to say, if we lose a chunk of US trade we are going to be a third world country instantly. We will rely on selling only our resources and how long will that last? We don’t need to bend over to US trade but neither do we need a pouting moron who is nothing but a lame duck twit souring our lives. www.dfait-maeci.gc.ca/eet/trade/3q2002/tq32002-en.asp

Dis, an isolated incident does not bother me as there will be fools on either side. What bothers me is the festering anger that Americans are starting to have against Canadians. You mean the media-fueled festering. It doesn't help when the American Ambassador mentions his country's disdane not once, but twice. No ... I disagree ... you were right the first time ... morons is accurate. Yet, ever since he called an early election in order to become the only PM since Laurier to be re-elected three times, it's been downhill for him. The other thing we haven't touched on is the state of our army. They're undermanned and tired. We haven't enough to go around. However, our government has seen it fit to have our remaining troops, regardless of their state, replace the Americans in Afghanistan. Yet, whether it's Afghanistan or Iraq, our soldiers will be at risk. They will be exposed to an opponent who dresses in the local garb and comes out only when they have your trust and your guard is down. It doesn't matter what theatre of operations they're going to, our troops will be at risk. I guess the only answer Chretien will give is that the UN didn't sanction the Iraqi action and that's weak. Cheers.

Hey Guys, if it will make you feel any better, at least in my little corner of the U.S. we love Canadians. We don't boo "Oh, Canada!" here either. We sing along with it when it is sung here. Florida: Florida is weird!! Surprises me they put Canadians down since so many Canadians live there. But after the way they messed up the last Presidential election, I don't admit to them being a State in the U.S. anymore. They have to be weird and flaky after the mess they caused in the last election.
