We're getting there slowly but surely. David Pedneault and Pierrre-Hanz Horacius, both of Montreal, finished fourth and fifth respectively in the men's 100-metre sprint at the World Youth Championships being hosted in Sherbrooke. I watched it live. They were both clocked at 10.87 seconds. Not bad for a pair of 17-year-olds. www.cbc.ca/pcgi-bin/templates/sportsView.cgi?/news/2003/07/12/Sports/trackandfield030712Oddly, there were no Americans in the final. CBC had excellent coverage of the games that wrap up pretty soon. A really different approach to covering the games. Tomorrow is the 4 X 100 metre relay. Should be great. Cheers.
