With the passing on the weekend of Warren Zevon, the world not only lost a great songwriter but also a dedicated hockey fan.

Zevon, who died at 56 of lung cancer, combined his passions in a song he co-wrote with Mitch Albom, the Detroit-based sports columnist and author of the best-selling book, Tuesdays With Morrie.
