Only in Germany. If only this were around in the 80's. Check this out, guys ... Wednesday, October 8, 2003 Posted: 0824 GMT ( 4:24 PM HKT)BERLIN, Germany (Reuters) -- German women fed up with their partners' grumbling on weekend shopping trips can now dump them at a special kindergarten for men offering beer and entertainment.
"The women are issued a receipt for their partners when they hand them in and can pick them up again when they return it to us later," Alexander Stein, manager of the 'Nox Bar' in Hamburg told Reuters Tuesday.
The men are given a name tag on arrival and for 10 euros ($11.80) they get two beers, a hot meal, televised football and games.
Stein said the idea for the "Maennergarten" came from a female customer who thought it would pacify her husband while she shopped.
"She found it all too stressful and thought this might be the solution," he said. "Both were very happy with the way it turned out.
"Last week the men had a remote control car to play with. Next week there's going to be a mini racetrack," Stein saidedition.cnn.com/2003/WORLD/europe/10/07/offbeat.kindergarten.reut/index.htmlMrs. Dis is sitting beside me and says there's nothing new here ... she goes into the shops and I hit the pub! "But, dear, there's no games" Cheers.

Hehehe, I especially like that part. Are the husbands not allowed to leave without proper supervision? I guess the receipt is meant to prevent women from picking up someone elses husband....

Men are quite simple creatures, really, and prone to getting into and creating trouble if not properly supervised. However, dear dumb beings that they are, they are very easily manipulated into getting into even bigger trouble when (im)properly supervised. Oh dear, what are we to do with them, before they entirely destroy everything?
