Hey guys, im doing a university assignment here and am having trouble making a big list of the simularities between EDUCATION and INDOCTRINATION(brainwashing). Please help list a few for me (6-10), Thanks in advance  |

I'm a teacher by day and attend my own classes at night. However, there are a few university guys and gals who frequent the board and they might be helpful. If I find any links I'll drop them your way via the personal message feature the board offers.

mooch, go to yahoo.com and try typing in "simularities between EDUCATION and INDOCTRINATION" without the quoatation marks. It's a starting point anyway.

Offhand, both try to teach us new facts, new ways of seeing things, they show us a whole network of values that we're supposed to buy into. Both have to erase prior belief patterns so that we can fully accept what we're taught.
Both requise some learning by rote.
At the lower education levels, both require us to accept what we're told, and the student doesn't challenge what's handed down from the instructor.
