The Colts Payton Manning has reportedly agreed in principal to sign for $99.2 million. What's worse is that this includes a $34.5 million signing bonus. Granted $19 million can be won in incentive bonuses. But, man alive ... www.tsn.ca/nfl/news_story.asp?id=74587It will cost the Yankees $88,000 per inning to play ball this year. Rediculous. The hockey strike might be a long one. The players are seeing this in a "what-about-me" scenario. They can stay out as long as they like as far as I'm concerned. I think pro sports in general has too many things to sort out. First buy a shovel. Cheers.

Agreed, hockey is the last sport with down to earth athletes. I want this to continue and I think the best way is to regroup. That said, I believe a strike can actually do some good to this league if they try to solve problems and not wait until a capitulation by the players.
