It looks like all the parties are throwing money around, not just the Liberals.
That being said, I have no clue to vote for in my riding of Saint-Bruno-Saint-Hubert.
Liberals - I've voted for them since I could vote ('97 and 2000); both times the BQ took my riding anyway. Now I'm thinking about changing. Paul Martin seems like an ivory tower figure. Sponsorship scandal hurts - how could the Finance Minister not know about money flowing into the pockets of party friends? If he did - he's corrupt. If he didn't - he's incompetent? He did stop this country from sinking into unescapable debt - but the cuts he had to make could have been made in other, less important areas (Health? Ugh)
Bloc Quebecois - Never will I vote for a party that has seperation as it's penultimate goal. Never. Gilles Duceppe seems like a snake oil salesman (Vote for us as a protest! It doesn't mean you're soverignist! But if we do really well in the election, it's a great victory for the soverignists!)
Conservatives - Not crazy about non-progressive tax rates. Not crazy about greater provincial powers (this is the most decentralized nation on the planet already). No chance in my riding. Stephen Harper seems like a pretty decent person, but he needs to rein in his MPs better from saying whatever is on their mind. Needs to assure country he won't turn Canada right-wing, as this is great fear of most Easterners.
NDP - I was leaning their way. Not crazy about scrapping Clarity Act. Not at all. Not crazy about inheritence tax. No chance in my riding. Jack Layton gets points in my book for being so honest, even if what he's saying isn't "correct".
Green - No chance in my riding. Might be of interest in future but no interest in supporting a fifth-tier party in this election.
I'm loving this election - a political junkie always loves minority government possibilities. But in my own riding I'm thoroughly unsure who to vote for. I know the debates will make my mind up. Being bilingual is advantageous - the debates often have a much different tone in French than in English.
