I apologize in advance for posting this in the wrong place, but I just heard the sad news that George Balcan has passed away and I thought some ex-Montrealers would like to join me in mourning the loss of his velvet voice and kindly demeanor.
He was a friend to the habs and to all radio listeners. He will be missed.

We will know soon.
