They were certainly faster than the French, and a whole lot more committed. It gets tougher from here on as the 4 teams that will be left are fighting fewer holes and chemistry issues than those who are now sunning on the beach at Nice.

I was at a local roadhouse having Friday afternoon suds with some of the guys from work. The place erupted when that goal went it. I think it had to do with the falling of the French giant.
Also, Portugal has a big following here in town. They took it to the English quite convincingly.
It's going to hard for them, but I would like my sentimental favourites, Denmark complete the final four. I have some personal, past and present, affiliations with that country.
Nice seeing a changing of the guard in European soccer.

The French took too many shots off their heads without helmets. I love the little guy stopping the superior power at Thermopole.

I'm hoping Greece makes it to the final (I'm watching the extra time right now). I live in a neighbourhood with sizable Greek and Portuguese populations, so if they play in the final, there will be partying in the streets no matter who wins! Edit: They did it!
