Hey,
I always get a popup saying "Document Contains No Data" with Friefox.
Something in your coding maybe?

Hey, I always get a popup saying "Document Contains No Data" with Friefox. Something in your coding maybe? mike Sorry. Not our code. HabsRus is hosted as a subdomain of proboards.com. We are very limited as to modifications we're allowed to make. All advertising, including banner ads and pop-ups, are under the direct control of proboards. Check the proboards site to see if there are any noted performance issues regarding the Firefox browser.

I've noticed recently that HabsRUS is acting strangely. 1. When I return to the main menu I'm kicked out and have to log in again. 2. When I start to type, I get sent out of the windo and have to scroll up and click in the window to get back in. Is it sometihing in pro boards, is it me or is HRUS trying to tell me something?

Paranoid Hmmm, hard to tell at this distance. Since this is the first complaint of this nature it doesn't seem to be a widespread condition. It also does not sound like a proboards issue per se. It *could* be, as in mikeg's case, a browser problem. Check your browser type and version and go to the proboard's site and see if there have been reports of and fixes for the condition you described. Do you have cookies enabled on your browser? Have you noticed unusual behavior in any other programs since the HabsRus oddness?

Hey, I always get a popup saying "Document Contains No Data" with Friefox. Something in your coding maybe? mike I'm on Firefox with popups disabled and have no problem. At a guess, I'd think proboards has a popup for a sponsor and the sponsor's page is badly coded, so the popups have error messages. That happened to me at some point, on some board - usually a sponsor will fix it, given that they are paying for functionnal popups and all.

Paranoid 2 sounds like a problem I had (have) with Internet Explorer. I've been using Firefox 0.8 for quite some time with absolutely no problems.

Solutions to some common problemsProboards involuntarily logs you out (and other weird behaviours): - Your browser is not accepting cookies properly.
- Check that you have cookies enabled.
- In Internet Explorer 6 you need to have acceptance of third party cookies enabled.
To enable cookies: - Click on Tools on your browser's menubar
- Click Internet Options on the drop-down menu
- On the Optiions window click on the Privacy tab
- Use your mouse pointer to slide the bar so that the arrow is positioned on Low
- Click OK
To enable third party cookies: - Click on Tools on your browser's menubar
- Click on Internet Options on the drop-down menu
- On the Options window click on the Security tab
- Click on the Custom button
- On the pop-up window scroll down to Cookies and make sure that the radio button is in the enabled position
- Click Save
If the above doesn't work try clicking "Always Stay Logged In" when you attempt to log in. Having acceptance of cookies set as above will eliminate many peculiar behaviours when using proboards. However, bear in mind that by allowing greater access to your computer by outside parties you increase the probability of a security breach. * "Document Contains No Data" message: - This link goes to a Mozilla forum discussion of the problem
* In general Internet Explorer is more "forgiving" in its interpretation and rendering of sloppy code than Netscape 6+/Mozilla/Firefox (derived from the same parser engine) and Opera browsers.
