Thanks Montreal. That one guy just wouldn't get it, would he? A deep draft is going to net you better prospects, pointe finale. That's like complaining McDonalds just doesn't serve as good a meal as the Four Seasons and blaming the McDonalds cooks.
It's way too early to judge Linhart. I got the feeling at his draft that he's a defensive defenseman who hits hard. I don't expect offense from him and its so true that the first year in a new country is difficult. Next year will be a much better place from which to judge.

I'm not throwing the towel in his case but I consider him a bonus if he turns out to be able to make the NHL club. Besides he's a LD and we already have Markov, Hainsey, Souray, Beauchemin, Bouillon there (I won't even mention Dykhuis & Traverse). The more capable D men the better, I'm just saying we'll be more than fine at LD if he doesn't make it.

Yea I was surprised that some people want to write off a 18 year old playing his first season in North America, where from what I understand, he doesn't know much English. Yes he didn't have the best season, and he's only played 1 playoff game so far, but no way would I write him off just yet. Also Joni Puurula's season is now over. He won his final game, in the bronze round. And according to a Finnish poster at HF, Puurula has finished his miltary duty.
