The players are highly skilled and represent a small percentage of the general population who can do what they do with their competence level. They are like medical surgeons.
The owners have control of the arenas that the players work in. They are like the hospital owners.
The hospitals can't run without the doctors, and the doctors can't operate without the operating rooms.
It suddenly makes you realize how much more important doctors and hospitals are than hockey players and arenas.
