CTV has done a decent job of comparing the key issues of party policies, found on their Election site

You should all (or all who can read French) go and take this "quiz": www.saplin.com/elections2006/index.phpIt asks you to choose between the various federal electoral platforms. Somewhat surprising results for me. I got 5 for Bloc, 3 Liberals, 3 Conservatives and 1 NPD - I wouldn't have expected to agree with Harper on anything like 25% of issues.

It is available in English. Results were surprising. Liberal 6, Conservative 4, Bloc 1, NDP 1. I expected Conservative 12. Canadian Conservatives are not that conservative. Good interesting poll.

Canadian Conservatives are not that conservative. You're right -- right now. In order to be elected they have to be MOR. Depending on the political winds, the Conservatives can steal a few seats from the Liberals (if the winds blow central) while the Liberals can steal a few seats from either the Conservatives or the NDP . . . which is why it is easier for the Liberals to stay in power.

My guess is middle-of-the-road or Moron. (same thing?) I thought it was something like Middle or center (I thought Moderate Or Conservative, but that doesn't work ,either.)
