Dis the Elder is turning 70 years young on Saturday. What do you get for a man that has absolutely everything and doesn't travel?
My sister and I are stumped.
Cheers.

Without knowing much about "Dis the Elder" it is a hard task to guess what he would like ..... is he a golfer? a outdoors sportsman? how mobile is he? how much you willing to spend? etc?
If he was a camper/fisher (you said he wasn't a traveller) I would suggest a weekend at a cabin for the whole family ... parents, you, your siblings and grandkids. If he is a golfer well any number of items pop into my head.
One thing I have been thinking about for awhile now for my parents is a professional picture of my kids in a nice frame. The picture would have the children in a fun pose, but in the background would be shaded picture of my parents looking down on them in the corners. ....... just a thought.
You could restore a picture of your mom and dad (it doesn't even have to be a picture of them together, two seperate pictures even and collate them). This is probably a better anniversary present though.
For someone who has everything you have to use your imagination and get creative.

I think the family pictures will do as part of the trick. I know Dis Jr will be putting together something for him.
Ah, V.I.P. dances ... it worked in bonding a troop I dare say ...
Thanks guys.
Cheers.

Hmmmm, whenever I get stumped on what to buy, I usually go with Jewerly, but that probably won't work for your Dad. How about some DVD's.....like a box set of some sort. War movies, westerns, something like that.

Depending on the budget Dis, you could get him a day (or weekend) in a relaxing Spa. www.spasontario.com/Depending if your Dad likes fishing, you could also get him a fishing trip

Oh for crying out loud....a couple of hookers are ALWAYS appropriate gifts. It also makes for some great family conversation afterwords!

Cheers. This is an idea I had for my dad Dis. Get some old family photos of your grandparents and have them blown up to portrait size and mounted and framed nicely. I guess it depends on how much your dad liked his parents, but my dad loved his so much he was almost moved to tears. Never seen that in 34 years.

Maybe we could get you both new stumps! If you've been walking on them for a while they could be damaged. It's great the way you and your sis are so forthcoming about your conditions and I'm sure your dad would like to see you both in new stumps!!
