well i'm flying to germany for the world cup in 3 hours, i thought i would say good-bye in case the world ends while i'm in the air. i never put two and two together until a friend pointed it out. i really hope i'm not seated next to some religious fanatic that is going to white knuckle the whole trip.
if i don't make it thanks for the good times! i can't believe the draft is in vancouver and i'm going to be gone, oh well it shouldn't be too difficult having fun at the world cup! later boys and girls!

I'm sure the exact same suspicions were made for 1906, 1806, 1706, etc. You'll be fine.

have a blast...oh, sorry.
Have a safe trip and don't worry about us back here. I'm sure the Habs win the cup every year upstairs.

Forget 6-6-06: Every Day Is Doomsday The World's Always About to End, Depending on Whom You Ask By BUCK WOLF, ABC NewsJune 6, 2006 — Doomsday is coming, again and again and again.
Today is the sixth day of the sixth month in the year 2006 — and as superstitious people are well aware, "666" is a number that signifies the mark of the Antichrist and the coming of the Apocalypse, according to the Book of Revelation. [Biblical prophesy groups, UFO believers, and Satanists, Nostradamus, the Raelians, yada yada yada] Apocalypse Soon?

It's also my 25th wedding anniversary....what should I be reading into that? ;D That someone (and I don't mean you) has an amazing level of tolerance ;D (reminds me of my wife: I don't know how she has put up with me and still does -- her training, it seems, is wasted). Congrats to you and Mrs. CH for doing what few are willing to do: stay together in spite of each other (and I mean that in the nicest possible way). And why are you on-line and not out wining and dining her and making sure that she hasn't made a mistake?

Saw the 666 thread and had to respond. We've been joking about this date since we got married in 1981. I cannot believe how fast it's gone by. Our kids are now 23 and 20....but we haven't changed a bit. We've been partying here and there since Saturday....and fully expect to celebrate at every opportunity over the summer. Lots of friends also with the Silver this year.

I'm sure the exact same suspicions were made for 1906, 1806, 1706, etc. You'll be fine. Not really. The only other dates it could've been said were 1006 and 6AD. But the calendar system was probably different back then. 1906 was the 906th year in the century. I know this is not true for all, but most people say "1988, or 1914". Not many in the last century or this century say "88" or "the war in 14" .... This is the 6th year in this century (Some people say "naught 6", others say "O-6", and some even say "2006") but the 6th day of the 6th month of the 6th year, IMO, refers to the century or 6AD. (cause this is the 2006th year AD (lets not even mention all those BC years or that there is no year "0")

"The most interesting thing about these end-time predictions is that the same groups just revise their date for doomsday and never explain why their first prediction turned out to be wrong."
One of these days, one of these "groups" are gonna be right.
Yikes!
