A hobby I had when I was a young boy was to create new hockey teams, logos and uniforms. Not that I have any talent in drawing, but it was yet another way to express my passion for the world of hockey. Anyway, I haven't done it in a long time, but since I had a bit of freetime and I'm learning adobe illustrator, I took the liberty to re-brand the Ducks: introducing The Anaheim Heroes! PS: Yes, its dark brown (I wanted a distinctive color). PS: It's sure look like Captain America, but I was thinking more of that logo the USAF planes had on their wings during WWII. I'm not sure why I'm posting this, but one could reply by giving his own opinion on a particular NHL team logo/names/colors that he doesn't like. I think we already know what's our favorite anyway

Brown with a star in a hole? Mighty A-Holes? LOL Of course everyone except me could see that A-H initials are not so appropriate for a team with a Brown shirt. Thanks for pointing that out, I was about to send the jersey to the Ducks management!

Given the Senators Roman-type logo, back when they were a total joke (with Dave "Sparky" Allison as coach...) I thought they should trade the entire lineup (other than perhaps a couple of top-notch kids like Yashin and Daigle) and re-brand themselves the Ottawa Centurions.
Compared to Senators, it would have the advantage of being bilingual, which can be a marketing advantage in (that) National Capital Region.

I don't know, but being a hockey player myself, I would certainly identify more with a centurion than with a bellied senator. It's just way cooler (for lack of a better word).

Weren't Frank Mahovlich and Red Kelly Ottawa Senators?

I think Kelly was a Liberal MP. I won't hold it against him, senility happened early for him.
