the Dogs better not pull a Nucks, Avs or Blues and blow a 3-1 series lead.
Geoff Ward, stop coaching to please the Oiler guys and Bill Lindsay and use your better players.
Game on Sportsnet.

Geoff Ward should play the guys that will pay the price to win, whether they're ours or the Oilers'. And just cause they're a first rounder shouldn't matter. Hossa looked a little better late in the last game and deserving of more ice time compared to some of the other guys, but if he takes a less than 'do or die' approach today, he should get less ice time. Same with Hainsey, Komisarek, etc. Komi was ok, but just a little more emotion on his part would help him take that next step up. He was starting to do it with the Habs, getting into a couple of fights, and he has to grab the Dogs by the throat today and push them over the mountain top.

Wow anyone watching/listening to the game? Its starting to get phyiscal, as Hainsey just punched a Moose player that gave Gratton a face wash. To bad they are losing 1-0, but hopfully they can tie it soon.

Great physical game, end of the first period they stood up for each other. Komisarek, Hainsey, Gratton and I believe Ward all got penalties. Nice to see the future habs standing up for each other. Dogs were off to a good start with the 2 posts but have been having trouble in the second half.

Balej hasn't played a playoff game. He is in residence and needs injuries to be able to play. apparently Geoff Ward has Salmelaienen on the first line today with Ward and Grats

The Dogs are tight. Passes are bouncing off sticks and they seem in a daze on the power Play. Of course as soon as I say that Torres scores. Hope that calms them down.

Even when Mike 'pushes' someone, they tend to stay pushed. We've got some upside with this guy for sure. Hainsey looks better today, from what I've seen. He showed some spirit when he wrangled that Moose in the first period during the goalmouth shenanigans.

3-2, as Hossa's penalty just ended. Beauchemin had a good hit on Reid, he's had a strong game so far.

For anyone that's interested...
I was at the game, and sitting no more than 5 seats to the right of me was Rick Dudley. He and some other guy were taking some heavy-duty notes. I wonder what a Florida GM was doing checking out Hab/Oil/Nuck prospects a month before draft day ;D
As for the game, no one was overly impressive. You guys must have watched it on TV so you know who played good and who didn't.

Thats very interesting, especially since this article was published
----------------------- Source: Sun-Sentinel
Dudley says he has received some tempting offers for the Panthers' No. 1 pick.
"Teams are coming after us for the first and you know what? If somebody comes hard enough, they might just get it," Dudley said. "We're still leaning toward taking it, but we've had two teams offer us quite good packages for the pick.
"Our theory is this: If we got assets both young and significant, would we entertain it? Sure."
It's been rumored that Boston has offered Sergei Samsonov for the pick, but Dudley says he hasn't spoken with Boston.
Panthers scouting meetings begin Tuesday. The contenders to go No. 1 on June 21 in Nashville are Russian winger Nikolai Zherdev, Czech winger Milan Michalek, Oshawa center Nathan Horton and Peterborough center Eric Staal.

I am going out on a limb here...Hainsey was offered and maybe even Hossa.
or maybe the Oil offered Rita and Torres or something..

I am going out on a limb here...Hainsey was offered and maybe even Hossa. or maybe the Oil offered Rita and Torres or something.. I'm with you on that prediction. No way the Canucks have made an offer, so he must have been looking at Dogs. And I don't think the Oil are interested in moving up either. Yup, he was definitely scouting Hainsey, plus maybe Hossa, Ward, Ryder.
