Hey Boys,
Sorry to divert your attention from politics for a moment...
Any reccomendations for a good place near the HSBC to get a bite to eat before the game on Friday? Sports bar is prefered...with a never ending supply of wings.
Oh, and they have to serve wings.
Other than that, anything will do. Although I should mention they'll need to have wings.
Thanks in advance.
P.S. Wings

don't know any places there Ryan but maybe you should avoid spicy food before the game. Watching the game may upset your stomach.

Don't know which route you're taking, or if time allows, but if you go through Niagara Falls, N.Y, you could head to Honey's and grab some wings to go. I hear their wings are superb. Just off the 190 to Buffalo. Honey'sBe nicer to sit and enjoy with a cold one or two, though. In Buffalo..... Anchor Bar....it's advertised as the home of the Buffalo chicken wing. Anchor BarNorth of the HSBC...not walking distance.....but closest I could find on the net. Good luck.....to the Habs too.

Ryan, I am SOOOOOOOOOOO glad you asked this question. As you know I live in Woodstock, Ontario and drive down to see a few games in Buffalo each year. Pearl St. Bar and Grill is amazing. Some of the best food I've ever eaten. Nothing better than a bowl of Smoked Gouda Beer & Cheese Soup and a Kegger sandwhich. It's across of the old Aud...which is really across from the HSBC Arena. 3 blocks at the most. It's an easy walk. www.pearlstreetgrill.com/The BEST place for wings is at a place called Washington Square Restaurant. THE BEST WINGS EVER. No web site, but it's about the easiest restaurant to get to in relation to HSBC. www.google.ca/maps?hl=en&q=washington+square&near=Buffalo,+NY,+USA&radius=0.0&latlng=42886389,-78878611,3002160216592671553&sa=X&oi=local&ct=authority. This is a Google map and as you can see, it's about 3 blocks away. Go early to make sure you get a seat. We go about 2 hours before the game starts and we can usually get a seat. If you call, you can make a reservation ahead of time. It's cheap and it's good. The beer is cold and it is ALWAYS packed with Habs fans. It's not much to look at from the inside or outside, and some people would call it a dive, but once you eat their wings, you'll never look any where else. Washington Square is cheap, amazingly close and a safe haven for Habs fans. I highly recommend it. I am a little jealous. I was supposed to get tickets and go to the game this Friday too. My buddy's expense account has been called into question and he didn't get to buy any tickets. I might still try and get a seat or two. If I have any luck, I'll let you know. Who knows, we might see you at Washington Square. Cheers! Hope this helps.
