Ottawa's a nice place, but I question their methodology. How did they decide that the homicide rate is 50% more important than the percentage of new cars in the community??

MacDonald. 2 1/2 hours drive to Toronto and Montreal. 2 hours to Ottawa and 45 minutes to the States (without taking a ferry). More pubs and cafés than you can count. Cleanest port town I've ever seen. Only drawbacks are; there are four families who call the shots for the whole city. One of them happens to be the mayor right now. And the homicide rate went up substantially last year as well. The weapon of choice; a knife. Targets; the students. With Queen's University and St. Lawrence College here in town there's more chicks than ... well, you get the picture. And being so close to the States we do get quite a lot of tourism. Is where Mrs Dis and I met ... she went to college And, we live on a creek. Not too bad for a city of 130,000-odd. Cheers.

A more telling fact with this list is there isn't one city or community from the Okanagan Valley on their list. After all, who needs lakes, skiing, sunshine, arts, sports and more good vineyards than the rest of Canada combined? What a silly list.

Surprising. Nice place and all but I'd never have thought Ottawa would be at number one. Gotta agree with seventeen too. No Kelowna [Peachland]? Brandon at 17? Regina at 39? Notice that bum-you-know-what Saskatchewan didn't make the list either.
