I started out refusing to use IE on principle: why support Gates when he won't support me? So I went with Netscape all these years, but it seems that half the time it crashes on me. Very frustrating, especially when I'm trying to make an astute observation on HabsRus or attempting to do my banking.
I'm moving over to FireFox; have never tried Opera but have heard good things about it.
What browser do you use, and why?

I chose Firefox, Franko. Other than Netscape and IE, I really don't know the others.
Yet, I like some of the features Firefox comes, multi-tabs, et al. If it doesn't work with some websites it's usually because it needs an update or a patch.
I noticed that IE to Windows Vista looks somewhat the same now though. From what a buddy told me, Vista is nothing more than a compilation of different operating systems and internet browsers. MS got around this by bailing out certain companies in exchange for, "certain pantents."
Still might invest in a Mac down the road though. Everything seems to work better on those machines.
Cheers.

Use IE at work, but use Firefox on the lap-top at home. I prefer Firefox, although I find the connection (and it might only be because of the wireless network at home vs another we have on it) crashes too often.

Use IE at home because the PC came with Windows. Still on version 6 though because I don't always trust upgrades, especially at home where you are your own support.
At my previous job I used Firefox because the IT people felt is was more secure.

I use Firefox. I used to use Opera and it was quite good too. Yet, I like some of the features Firefox comes, multi-tabs, et al. If it doesn't work with some websites it's usually because it needs an update or a patch. The IE View Firefox extension is really useful for those rare pages that don't work in Firefox but which I still deem worth accessing*. It lets you specify that certain sites are always displayed in Internet Explorer. *Most such pages were written specifically for IE instead of adhering to standards, so I avoid them out of principle....

Thanks MC. I'm going to check this out a little more when I get home. One of the web sites I used to have problems with was www.coffeebreakarcade.com Mrs. Dis loves this web site if only to relax for a while. It used to burp incessantly with Firefox, but not so with IE. However, after I downloaded the latest version of Firefox it stopped. Another thing I like about Firefox is the built-in spell check. It works on a lot of blogs or chat sites but not all. Cheers.
