I don't know anything about Fort McMurray other than what people have told me. The son of a very good friend of mine went there for the same reasons this guy did. He said it's a pretty rough town.

I don't think this guy was either Mr. B or HFLA. I've corresponded with both in the past and the names (and the ages I think) don't match this one.

Terrible news though. Leaving home to find a better life only to lose your life trying. I know of quite a few people who went west and never came back because they loved it out there. A lot of my service friends also planted their routes out west as well.

Fort McMurray isn't all that bad. I lived there 15 years and got out alive. Bonnie Doon is in Edmonton, this poor guy was killed there, not Ft Mac.
