4-1 going into the 3rd. Sens tried to injur Ryder, and got a 5 match penalty. Dogs to start the 3rd on the PP. Ward Gratton Lindsay all with 2 pts. No Pleks, Balej and Conklin's in net.

Lindsay, that new scoring machine has two tonight, including one on the PP.

I haven't seen Ryder all that much except on highlight reels. However, a buddy of mine was telling me that Ryder reminds him of a younger Mike McPhee when he's skating.
Anyone else notice anything about Ryder?
Cheers.

Anyone else notice anything about Ryder? Cheers. I only saw him on the last two games against the Moose that Sportsnet televised. He seems to have a good sense for the net, good puck handler, nice quick release and he is very sound in his own end. Plays with that extra intensity that a lot of the Dogs seem to have these days...the team confidence is really contageous!! The earlier scouting reports talked about his work ethic. He was demoted to the ECHL twice before this season and has bounced back and doesn't seem to quit.

BTW, I bashed Geoff Ward alot but putting Hossa with Stoll and Ryder was an excellent move. Hossa needs players who play with alot of spunk on his line to wake him up and Marcel has been playing much better and racking up some point playing with those 2.

I agree. 3 points last night and 1 tonight, so quite a turnaround. Coach is also giving him PP time (goal tonight was on the PP). Let's hope it last this time.

Anyone else notice anything about Ryder? Cheers. That comparison never occurred to me Dis, because I don't think there's much similarity. McPhee had a much longer stride and seemed a bit bigger, but that could be because everyone else is so much bigger now. I think Ryder is a better goal scorer. Great wrist shot goal in the 3-2 game 7 win over the Moose. McPhee was stronger on his skates and that's where Ryder will have to get better. Spunky guy, though. He could play for me.
