I just found myself a 1938 Haut-Médoc Bordeaux, made at le Chateau Denabre by Count M. de Georges de Bargeton. Red wine.
Anyone have an idea what price that could be worth? Or where I could find? I've tried some websites, but haven't found anything.

I've tried some websites, but haven't found anything. This might help here, JHF. The prices are in Euros. I cut and pasted 1938 Haut-Médoc Bordeaux into Google and this is what I found. Cheers ... literally speaking Late edit: I thought this might be a starting point JHF, but I keep drawing blanks on other sites I've been to. I went to a vintage wine site and while there's an evaluation for wines in 1938 I didn't see any prices. However, there is a section to register and the information you're looking for may/may not be available that way. Not sure. Maybe some of the other posters here on the site might have better searching skills than I do. Good luck.

You would think on a Montreal board that "vin" would know the answer.......

Checked it out, apparently 1938 was a terrible year for Bordeaux's. It has long passed it's expiration date. I didn't even mention it survived a fire.

So, it's basically a bottle of vinegar? Make sure whoever told you that info doesn't offer to take it off your hands for free....

Don't worry CH, I'll keep it as a family heirloom or something. Hey, a 1938 bottle of Bordeaux might sell for good coin in 2702 .
