Was watching some NFL yesterday. Just some games I followed yesterday:
New England vs. New York Jets
The Patriots have it all. They have a front line that gave Tom Brady what seemed hours to throw the ball. The guy planted his feet in the pocket and stayed there as long as he wanted. Their front-four toyed with the Jets front line at will. They have a decent running game and while Randy Moss isn't the go-to guy, he did catch 9 passes. And to think they got him for a 4th rounder.
Philadelphia vs. Green Bay (my team)
It wasn't so much the Packers winning it as it was the Eagles losing it. I think they went into Lambaugh field thinking the could win six straight against the Pack. However, this and two dropped punts made the Eagles were done like dinner. The Packer defence was tough yesterday and that may be this team's saving grace. They have no running game and their go-to guy is Donald Driver. A decent receiver, granted, but the Pack will need more. And I'm getting tired of the annual hype surrounding Brett Farve's possible retirement. The fact is so long as there's records to be broken Farve will return. I think it has more to do with that than the club.
The Steelers also look like they're serving notice as well. But, I think NE will be the team to beat. Haven't seen the Colts yet, though they blew past the Saints like there weren't even there.
Cheers.
