Letterman's Top 10 wackiest interviews

Have we missed any? Tell us YOUR favourite wacky Letterman interview!
With Paris Hilton's less-than-stellar appearance on the "Late Show with David Letterman" a few weeks back, we thought we'd run down some of Dave's most bizarre interview moments on his show.
And by no means is this a science, so please, no wagering. (Of course, if you have your own favourite moment, send it along.)
No. 10: May 22, 1986: Cher makes her "Late Night" debut, calling him an "a**hole" when Dave asks her why she hadn't been on the show before.

No. 9: June 6, 1997: Farrah Fawcett makes a less-than-coherent appearance on Dave's show. You have to see it to believe it. Yikes.

No. 8: October 27, 2006: TV pundit Bill O'Reilly and Dave go head-to-head over the Iraq war, with Letterman telling Bill "60% of what you say is crap."

No. 7: February 1, 1982: Bill Murray helps Dave with his first-ever show -- a completely hilarious interview ends with Bill doing an inebriated version of Olivia Newton John's "Physical."

No. 6: March 31, 1994: Madonna has been friend and foe to Letterman, and showed off the latter during this appearance. She brought along her potty mouth and dropped the F-bomb 13 times during the show. Letterman cut to commercial when she didn't stop. When the show returned, Madonna was gone. (They later kissed and made up.)

No. 5: November 14, 1985: Comedian Sam Kinison makes his network TV debut, widely considered to be his breakthrough performance. Dave introduces him by saying "brace yourselves." He was bang on.

No. 4: July 28, 1987: Crispin Glover has an out-of-this-world interview while promoting his film "River's Edge." After a failed attempt to challenge Letterman to an arm-wrestling match, Glover delivered an impromptu karate kick just inches from Letterman's face while shouting, "I'm strong... I can kick!". Not sure whether he was whacked out on drugs, or it's a gag. You be the judge.

No. 3: April 12, 1995: Drew Barrymore jumps on Dave's desk and gives him a seductive birthday dance, and ends with a quick flash of her breasts -- with her back to the camera.
www.youtube.com/watch?v=1LYV9AZNlFU
No. 2: August 31, 1988: Comic book writer Harvey Pekar goes toe-to-toe with David Letterman during a live appearance. Letterman calls him "a dork," and apologizes to Cleveland and Pittsburgh for having him on. Ironically, he becomes a "Late Night" staple until GE (which owned NBC) banned him until the early '90s.

No. 1: July 29, 1982: A running feud between professional wrestler Jerry Lawler and comedian Andy Kaufman comes to a head when Lawler slaps Kaufman in the face. Kaufman goes on a profanity-filled tirade afterwards, and ends his appearance by tossing a glass of water in Lawler's face.
