Guess they knocked 'em dead last night in their first live concert since John Bonham passed away in 1980 (at least that's what I heard on the radio this morning). Have a lot of really good triggers to Led Zeppelin's music. Here's a website I found just prior to work starting. Led ZeppelinActually went through high school listening to Zeppelin. Still have a lot of their music today. Cheers.

I've heard that David Gilmore from Pink Floyd is trying to talk them into starting a tour together.
Can you imagine a Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin concert. WOW!!!

I hope they film backstage for that tour. Pray to God the promoters don't run out of psyllium fibre cereal. Seriously, I was not looking forward to this concert for fear they would embarrass themselves like they did at Live Aid. From all accounts they did very well. Plant's new cd with Allison Krauss is being mentioned as "album of the year" by some insiders. I have been listening to it for a few weeks now. Still not sure what to make of it. Some days I think he's hiding his voice behind hers because he just doesn't have it anymore and other times I think it's genius. Anyway, I'd buy a ticket to any of these shows.

Our band's repertoire includes: Whole Lotta Love Good Times Bad Times Stairway to Heaven Heartbreaker The Ocean It's a pleasure kicking out as many of Bonham's chops as I can. Keeps me young (in my head, anyway). Quite simply the biggest, fattest, rock drum sound recorded to that time....perhaps of all time. Credit to Jimmy Page's production for capturing it in the studio for all those albums.

Heard on the radio this morning that Jimmy Page wants to do a comeback tour, but Robert Plante doesn't. I guess Plante can still hit the high notes but not as consistently as he could when he was younger. Go figure. Cheers.

Heard on the radio this morning that Jimmy Page wants to do a comeback tour, but Robert Plante doesn't. I guess Plante can still hit the high notes but not as consistently as he could when he was younger. Go figure. Cheers. I've heard interviews with Plant whereby he waxes poetically, upon seeing black and white film of their early performances, that he's awestruck by the intensity, passion and excitement he felt before he became extremely bored with this band. Plant can still hold his own on stage by himself and I'm not sure the others can. Of course, Page would love to play in front of millions of adoring fans again. I'm sure he's tired of toilling away in dark studios writing film scores and "collaborating" with other atrists who want to bastardize his songs. In this case it's true that the whole is greater than the sum of it's parts with Plant being the most valuable part here. They need him more than he needs them and he wants to move forward to something new. I can understand that from an artist's point of view. He seems to be pretty excited about touring with Allison Krauss next year.
