Good guy on and off the field, the NFL will miss him!!! I really like Farve. He's a good ole boy and a throwback to the days of improvisation instead of orchestration and mikes and coaches with airline pilots headgear, blackberry's, and spy cameras. Somehow the announcement of his retirement has all the finality of Brittney Spears checks into rehab.

Is it for real this time? The circus of his impending retirement was worse than Roger Clemens' .... at least Brett is a nicer guy. Nice to see you play Brett ... I still say you were lucky though. LOL....

He made watching football fun. He's going to be missed by anyone and everyone who's ever had an interest in North American football, especially me!!!
P.S. - the "circus of his impending retirment" was nothing at all like Roger's. As I recall, it was a media-generated "circus" because for the last few seasons Favre always took some time to think about what he wanted to do before announcing his decision. He never came out and said he was going to retire, only to change his mind later on. It was always the scoop-hungry media piranhas who kept trying to speculate as to what Brett was going to do. In truth I hope he does pull a Roger and come back for another year, but I don't think it's going to happen. As he said, physically he's still capable but mentally the strain is becoming too much. Time for him to move on and enjoy the fruits of his many wonderful years in the NFL.
