I believe this game is a turning point for our whole franchise. If the boys can win it, at least three and perhaps 5 or 6 of our future players will have experienced the thrill of success. They can proceed to the NHL with a confidence that few of our current players have. They will not be as intimidated by the 'veterans', because they will have won something, while most of our vets have not. IMO you can't underestimate the impact a Calder Cup ring can have to our future development. Let's hope they aren't too tight and they play to the best of their ability.

GO DOGS!!! With Ward and Ryder leading the way upfront, and Komo, Beauchemin and Ronner on the blueline it should only take a strong game from Conks to win this one ... If only it were that easy, i just hope everyone can play hard tomorrow and win it!

Marc, could you remove that "Go Dogs Go" from your first post or at least make it smaller? At least on my computer it slows things quite badly. Even scrolling down is slow not to mention downloading the page. Thanks! EDIT: This was my first post here and I'm complaining right away. Not a good first impression, eh?

We share the same brain, or at least the same Mason jar on that. Well said.

Good point 17....and my thought exactly. I hope the success will especially instill the confidence I think Hainsey needs to join the big club. Not only will this give the boys the feeling of success....but a team effort is what has brought this team along....and whether you put stock in it or not...that is what Petrov said was lacking after he left. Dogs 4 - 2 Houston Ward 2 goals Hossa 1 goal Hainsey 1 goal ....Fichaud with the SO

How does he get the SO if he gives up 2 goals?
and bet your money Conklin starts.

3-2 Dogs in a close, tight checking, hard hitting game.
Ward - 1 goal
Ryder - 1 goal
Hossa - 1 goal
Ronner - 2 assists

266 Mzh Pentium II Processor 160MB RAM Windows 98 plus ADSL connection Hmmm...I have a similar setup and have experienced no noticeable slowdowns. Curious. But moot since Marc graciously resized his marquee. BOW-WOW-WOW YIPPY-YI YIIPPY-YAY

Getting pretty close to game time.... GO DOGS GO!!! I sure can't wait until Benoit Gratton hands the Calder Cup to playoff MVP Jason Ward to hoist above his head infront of 17 000 strong! Make it happen guys!

GO DOGS!

The only time the PP did something was with Ronner and Komo on it
yet they play about 35 seconds on it
Unreal.

Aeros score on a rebound of a draw 1-0 Hinz to blame as he lets his man go to the net

these refs are garbage man 1st over..HORRIBLE period by the Dogs. They are very lucky to only be down 1-0.

I hope they come out more focused in the 2nd! They played very nervously. I expect them to get better as the game wear on. So those aeros are Minnesota farm team ? They really play like the wild.

Ouch, very bad period. Way too many un needed penalties, bad give aways, and horrible rebound control by Conklin. Ward looked good as always though, hopefully he turns it on for a few goals in the second ;D

- Could they have picked a worse announcer for this game? "SCEEEEEEEEORES!!!" nice try.
- Gratton is the last player I want to see on the habs next year. It is one thing to go to the net, but to whack away at the goalie five seconds after the whistle? Not to mention the lost battles along the boards and the 2 HUGE dives he has taken.
- Ward and Komisarek look solid.
Dogs better get their act together soon.
