Hockey Future's Top Prospect List

HF released the bottom half of their Top 50 list of top prospects - Spring 2008 version. Two of our guys make that half - McDonagh (#30) and S Kostitsyn (#32).

the avalanche of prospects to hit the club started last season, and picked up steam this season, thank you timmins and co., you guys are doing a great job.

the ufa's will start looking at montreal as a place to come to win a cup now!

I like how they say the top 3 are virtually a 1A, 1B and 1C. Of the 3, Price has the most potential to lead his team to a Cup so I'd give him the edge. One minor error I noticed is they mention that the Habs received flak for "trading up and selecting him 5th overall". Didn't the Habs get that pick by sheer luck in the post-lockout draft?

It was a bit of a weighted lottery, with teams that had not fared as well over the previous years to get more balls for the lottery (like the Habs) and every team getting at least one. Essentially, we hung in there until the 5th last spot.

No trades involved, pure lucky lottery balls.

Lucky balls nothing! They got him with that first french canadian pick they always get. He's from a small french fishing village in B.C. The league should change that rule. Way unfair.
