So Halak better stay.
Too bad about Kolzig -- he wanted to retire a Cap . . .He was "Mr. Cap" . . . but life goes on.
My faith in Theo is low . . . he played himself back into the starting job but crapped out in the playoffs . . . now signs for bucks in Washington where he can crap out again.

Way too much for Huet. I expected $4 million.

I honestly think this could be the best signing of the day.

I think Washington got a reasonable deal on Theo.... but the Huet deal is insane. A guy who hasn't shown he can be a real #1 goalie over a full season gets huge money over 4 years ? Seems to me like Chicago looked at his all-star appearances and numbers and didn't dig deep enough.... Huet is insanely good for stretches, and insanely average for other stretches...

Plus they have Khabibulin at one more year at 6.75. 12 million bucks tied up in goalies for a year - crazy.
