This pretty much coincides with what I posted here in another thread. I know casually a guy who works for the Sabres who, to put it mildly, expressed their disappointment in what they got when he arrived in town.

I guess he's getting shipped out yet again. I wonder if he'll actually fit in somewhere and get his career turned around.

edit: Rumour is that Gillis informed Regier that he was going to sign Bernier to an offer sheet, and Regier opted to take the 2nd+3rd instead of making Gillis go through with the offer sheet.

Is it still all about Steve's lack of conditioning? I know that was one of the knocks when he got drafted, and had read elsewhere that he wasn't as fit as he should be.

Sabres traded Campbell for a 1st & Bernier so I guess the end result of the Campbell deal is a 1st, a 2nd & a 3rd.
