This movie has so many levels and is so dark that it's a must see movie. Just ignore the bat suit and let the charecters build themselves. You will be suprised how deep and involving it is.
Best movie in a LOOOONG time

hmmm...don't know. The previews and clips I've seen on late night talk shows show a typical cheesy American made action hero flick. I will check it out for myself when it's available to view in my own home (very soon). They just don't make good movies anymore. Hollywood relies on CGI effects far too much for my liking.

HA, I'm wondering how Heath Ledger did in his final performance.
Might have to catch this one sometime through the week.
Cheers.

Completely agree with HA, so many things going on in this movie, but not is a way that makes it disjointed and hard to follow. Joker is a completely new take on the character, its an unreal performance. Its hard to describe, he's just a psychopath.
A must see movie.

I've already seen it twice. Excellent film. It's a shame Ledger won't be able to bring his character to another Batman movie. It was easily his best performance ever, and the sickness he portrayed balanced what can often be a martyred Batman.
Be aware though, it's a long film. It clocks in at a good 3 hours after trailers and everything.
Keep an eye out for the Watchmen trailer when you see it. I'm very excited about that movie. Best graphic novel I've ever read.

Finally saw the movie last night. Great flick. I don't know about you guys, but every time I saw Harvey Dent (Aaron Eckhart)... I was always reminded of Kirk Muller. (Well, up to the point before his face was burned. ) They look like brothers.

caught this movie last week. Damm it was good. Heath Ledger played the role of the joker the way it should be. There are already rumors for the next file... Johnny Depp would make a real good riddler, and who wouldn't like to see Angelina as Catwoman....MEOW! Just hope they don't go too hollywood on it. Clooney, Jones, Arnold, and Carey were horrible. I believe that was Tim Burton's vision. Stick with the darkness.

I liked it a lot. Lots of good acting performances... Ledger is, of course, widely acclaimed but I find Oldman developed Gordon really well...
One tiny deception, the overly caricatural special effect of two-face. They didn't have to go this far to render the character's double personality, a bad burn would have done the job just fine (instead of his somewhat recycled Terminator look).
Saw it with the wife and kids and everyone loved it, despite that we usually have highly different movie opinions.
A must see for sure, even if you think you won't like that kind of movie...

It is by far the best Batman movie I have seen, Heath Ledger in the best performance, to bad also his last. If you don't have the time to go to theater here is a link to download while it is active. You just need to install the divx player and codec, which is safe to install. video.supernovatube.com/divx.php?viewkey=555264995
