The Toronto Roadrunners have announced that Jeff (Geoff?) Ward will coach the Edmonton farm team today. Any announcment on who may be coaching the Bulldogs?

That's a really unoriginal, dumb name for an Oiler farm club in Toronto.
I mean, I didn't like it any better when it was Montreal's Rollerhockey team name, because Roadrunners don't exactly have any ties whatsoever with Montreal. No ties with the Oilers or with the city of Toronto, either.
Why not Toronto Drillers? Toronto Roughnecks? Toronto St. Patricks? Toronto Arenas? Toronto Marlboros?
No, we're the Roadrunners! Yawn.

This was expected; he was already Oilers property.
Still no word on who will be our AHL coach.

Yvan (roadrunner) Cournoyer was invloved in the rollerhockey team in some capacity, though I can't remember if it was ownership, management, or coaching.

The name roadrunners comes from the fact that the owner is the guy who owned the Phoenix Roadrunners in the defunct IHL.
The Montreal Roadrunners was because Cournyer was a part owner in the team and I believe coached the first two seasons.
