Just spent one of the best weekends of my life in Vegas, which included winning $500 at single deck blackjack and craps, a table and bottle service at the best club on the strip -- Pure at Caesar's Palace -- where we met Mike Tyson among other celebrities and women.. and Pauly Shore. "Dancers" back at our penthouse at the Mirage, and last but definitely not least, eating at Carnegie Deli every freaking day. Mmmmm.. Pastrami & corned beef.
Just figured I'd share and others can share some spectacular weekends they've had themselves.
Vegas, baby!

Thanks Red. Mrs Dis and I celebrated our 25th last year but our schedules were so crazy we couldn't make any trip plans.
This year and early next year will be different though. I'm hoping to get her to Vegas for a 4-day weekend then off to Cuba in January/February 09. I have a buddy who surprised his wife by taking her to Vegas on a mini getaway. They flew out of the States because it was cheaper.
Good to get another perspective.
Cheers.

Even having to pay for a hotel one night and parking, driving to Buffalo shaved a good $200-400 off our flight cost. Toronto is so expensive that unless absolutely necessary, I rarely fly out of there. For the want of an extra hour in the car, it isn't worth it.

I get to Vegas at least four times a year (three + hour drive). If you get on the mailing list or try internet booking, room rates are as low as $35 - $75 a night Sunday thru Thursday. Last time I................................ (what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas).

Just got back from Vegas after seeing the UCLA Bruins get humbled and the USC Trojans win. Terrible weekend. Put $200 down at 10 - 1 on the Hab's to win the cup. I won't lose this bet as fast as I did the other two.
