I don't know if this fiasco is over quite yet. Farve didn't look as estatic as I thought he'd be leaving Green Bay.
Does this put the Jets over the top? Hardly.
Does this put the Packers over the top? Hardly.
It's over for now, but I can see the media making this the story of the year.
Still a cheesehead.

NFL - Fervefigneugen The Golden Brett is gone. This isn't the second coming of Broadway Joe. Brett is old, slow, injury free for now. He isn't a turnaround project or a rebuilding cornerstone. He will watch many clouds lying on his back. His receivers will not be wide open. He won't have enough time. He isn't smart. He's a go get em rah rah kid; a 38 year old kid who lacks the maturity of a NFL rookie. This will be a sad last year to go out on. I laud Green Bay management for doing the right thing, even if they don't have a great season themselves. |
