Sounds like he has a very good work ethic. I think he may have what it takes to make it.

like I said in a thread on the main board...is his lack of offensive production related to lack of skill or just the fact he was put in a defensive role? if it's the second option, there is hope for him with his intensity/work ethic/physical play...if it's the first option, we may have blown a 2nd rounder.

The one thing I would say is that you have to remember that Lapierre was a rookie this year, and had to adjust to the higher level of play. Also, I believe that he played on the 3rd line for most of the season. I've talked with a friend about him, and he says that Lapierre is a tough kid that kind of gets under players skin, and he stares them down or gets right in their face. (shows confidence in himself being a rookie) Plus he's a very good skater and he's fast according to my friend (he's a Q scout, so I listen to him) He had some similiar words about Bonneau minus the skating/speed.

Sounds like the agitor we have been missing, yet has some skill also. Do you think he could resemble Matt Cooke on Vancouver? Reading the article about him they seem to be the same kind of player, good 3rd line centers who can get under the other teams skin yet score a few goals at the same time.

A kid with jam...gotta love it. Plus he was in the top ten in all major offensive categories for rookies in the Q last season. A nice combo and a potential third line centreman in the making.
