The Dogs won 5-3 to sweep their season starting two game visit to Winnipeg. stats.theahl.com/stats/game-summary.php?game_id=1004789Denis solid again in net. A great night for the kids as Maxwell, White, Desharnais and Weber get their first AHL goals. MaxPac got his first pro point with an assist tonight. It was nice listening the the kids doing well after watching the big boys doing well just down the QEW. Great night for good hockey!!

I know it's early and it's only his second game in the AHL but I'm very intriqued by the start that Desharnais has had. He only 5'7" but he has speed to burn and has some great playmaking skills.
I'm also glad to have Dan Jancevski back in the lineup. I think he had a huge impact in Hamilton's run to the Calder Cup 2 years ago and should bring some very good leadership and experience.

Dan Jancevski, Alex Henry and Ryan Flinn will make this team a lot less fun to play against and also give the young kids some room to show their stuff. Desharnais is tiny, but so skilled. Not often a kid out of junior follows up a 100+ point season in the CHL with a 100+ point season in the ECHL.
