Will post occasional updates from our dudes down in the ECHL.
After 71 wins in the regular season and playoffs, their kick-off weekend did not go quite as planned.
They lost 7-5 last night and 5-4 in OT tonight. Thomas Beauregard had a hat trick last night and a goal and an assist tonight. O Latendresse had a goal tonight and two helpers last night. They have been playing their goalie from the Nashville system rather than Loic Lacasse from our system (he is not good in any stretch of the imagination). They have lost a lot of their top guys but the Dogs likely will be sending a few more guys down.
As Coach Weber said, he hopes to try and replace David Desharnais' offense through a few players this season. No silver bullets this year and no guys that likely should be knocking on the AHL door either.

Cincinnati made a trade with Bakersfield bringing goaltender Ryan Nie to the Cyclones in exchange for defenseman Donny Grover. Nie, 23, is a third-year netminder with a 6-6-2 record, 3.31 goals against average and .901 save percentage with Bakersfield. Last season, Ryan turned in a 29-12-4 mark with a 2.80 goals against average and a .897 save percentage. Grover, 25, played 31 games with the Cyclones this season and registered ten assists and 35 penalty minutes. Nie's stats thanks to Hockey DB www.hockeydb.com/ihdb/stats/pdisplay.php?pid=71831

JT Wyman gets his first point in the ECHL but in a losing effort as the Cyclones where downed 4-1 by Trenton. I hear he's playing on defense for the Cyclones. He impressed playing D in Hamilton. Gajewski got pulled after allowing 3 goals on 14 shots clearing the way for newly aquired Ryan Nie to make his debut in Cincinnati Cyclone uniform.

Loïc Lacasse got his second start in a row in asmany nights. Last nights effort wasn't as good as he allowed 4 goals on 34 shots but did get the win. Friday he faced 35 shots allowing 2 by him for the win. Hope he keeps getting the majority of the starts.
JT Wyman is having a interesting transition from forward to defence for the Cyclones. In 11 games so far he has six points all being assists. Expectedly it seems he's having trouble in his own end with a -6 though.
