The US team announced its roster today and two Hab prospects are headed to Ottawa: Ryan McDonagh and Danny Kristo. Ryan was a surprise omission last year and Danny does well as an 18 year old to crack the roster. habsinsideout.com/main/12043PK Subban will be in Ottawa from Dec 11-15 for Team Canada's selection camp. He does have a good chance based on his great play so far and the fact he is one of the few returning guys to a very young team. They have an intersquad game on Friday December 12th for those that want to see PK play live. Nichlas Torp was already named to the Swedish team. Maxim Trunev has an outside chance at being named to the Russian team, but it quite young.

We are going to have a nice contingent of prospects this year:
Team Canada- PK Subban Team USA- Ryan McDonagh Team USA- Danny Kristo Team Sweden- Nichlas Torp
And Robert Mayer on Team Swiss in this years WJ's Div 1B
Nice to see Angelo Esposito finally get a spot after three years of disappointment after being cut.
Canada is a very inexperienced team at the WJ level with only 4 returnees which includes Subban (PK will also be sporting an 'A')

I'm curious to see how well Danny Kristo will match up against bigger and faster players. He's the youngest member of the USA team and the least experienced. Yet, from what I've seen so far (two games), he has terrific skills and speed to burn.

Got to see Nichlas Torp play for the first time last night and he did not disappoint. He was throwing his small frame around all night.
Not sure about Subban's placement on the powerplay. Him playing in front of the net while abandoning his defensive position looks rather odd..... but I guess nothing to lose trying that kind of thing in pre-tourny game.

Team Canada also lost a forward in that game and had eight defensemen, so I think he offers the most versatility in a pinch. They have since replaced their injured forward with Evander Kane of the Giants. Good choice. PK had two assists from the back end tonight in a 7-3 exhibition win over Finland. They are on TSN on Tuesday against the Slovaks in an exhibition tilt and then for real on boxing day at 7:00 pm ET and 5:00 pm MT.

He sure plays a physical in your face style. Hard to imagine a kid missing a whole season like he did last year. Nice to see him get the call in the WJC.
