I know that this isn't Hab related but I thought that it is of general hockey interest for those that are interested in junior hockey. Tonight those that are able to catch Canal Vox (ch # 9 in western Montreal Videotron) and see the next "Next One" Sydney Crosby in action.

I'd love to see the kid from my home town make good. Crosby has all the tools required to dominate at this level. Beyond that is anyones guess, ofcourse. I really think he's gonna light it up this year. He had something like 170 points in little more than half a CHL season at Chattick. I think he'll be at least as comparably good this yeaer.

If you watch could you post how Stewart played, and on what line? He's 2nd in the Q in scoring.

Did anyone notice that when they flashed tonight's lines, they had Stewart on the 4th line?
I think that must have been a typo. I don't know most of the players, but Stewart seems to be playing a lot more than most 4th-liners and is also on the PP.
There was a furious fight in the second. Multiple blows, both hands, both players were wobbled at different points. I doubt I'll see a better one this year!
BTW, is it just my imagination, or are fights in lower leagues consistently better than those in the NHL?

On the Q site, he has an assist, but on the tv they didn't list him getting an assist on the goal.

Just watched the end. Crosby is god. Wow. Danny Stewart leads the Q in scoring with 8 pts in 3 games so far. Way to start the season. Stewart had 3 assists tonight. 1 was on the goal to tie it and the other was on Crosby's ot winner.

I was lucky enough to get home in time to catch the Oceanic's tying goal in the dying seconds (beauty pass from Crosby behind the goal line into the slot to the pinching d man.) The overtime goal he scored was a thing of beauty. Right from the opening face off he wins the draw, carries the puck into the zone on the left wing, cutting into the slot at the top of the circles, getting the goalie to follow him, and on the backhand roofs it on the open left side of the net. A definite pro style goal. Great skater, silky smooth hands, superb on ice vision. I hate to say this about a guy 2 years before his draft, but I'll make an exception this time. This guys the real deal..... believe the hype! However, it will take a minor miracle for the Habs to get their hands on him. I'm not sure I heard correctly, but the same channel might shoe Rimouski's game tomorrow afternoon against Gatineau Olympiques. I hope that I didn't mishear.
