He was not juat a scratch but a last minute scratch - leaving the Isles a man short. He does, however, have an NTC clause and he hasn't been asked to waive it, so read into the situation what you wish.

I think Guerin will get moved and so the Isles want to make sure he doesn't suffer an injury.
I have a hard time believing Bob is looking at adding more wingers... My bet would be on Boston.

Unless this is the only way he can get some size and leadership and he's going to move a winger for added D help. Higgins is always the name mentioned but he makes the most sense. Especially if we make another deal and with Tanguay comng back and Gui a few weeks later. We desperately need some size and grit and another half decent D man. HFTO

Acquire Guerin, move Higgs & Gorges & picks/prospects to Anahiem for Pronger, send D'Agostini down to Hamilton, win for us!

HFTO When I think of Guerin I think of a mercenary that has always gone to the highest UFA bidder, and a guy that beat up a rookie teammate during a practice when with the Stars. No thanks.

It seems like whatever deal is going down is off. We'll see if Guerin plays today, or if they're saving him from injury.

Hockeycentral is saying that it's Philly, Montreal and Washington in on this Guerin stuff.

Philly is still trying to fit Briere, no? Maybe part of the mix? I guess we'll know by tonight Wednesday.
[edit: I see a Briere thread. Oops]
